"Wallpaper from the Dining Room at Wildwood Manor in Nebraska City, NE (for the Hans Hofmann Gallery at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum)"

An attempt to translate a wallpaper from Wildwood Manor in Nebraska City, NE to a museum space in Provincetown, MA. Wildwood is a period home whose contents are an amalgamation of the city’s residents’ antiques. It is proclaimed to be an “example of what a banker’s house in the nineteenth century in Nebraska City might have been like...” Gordon’s wallpaper was molded around the name of the gallery, which protruded from the wall, and was cut to fit around a pipe, an exit sign, a door and a vent. The wallpaper now embodies two separate spaces in its most recent installation.

Second installation at the Walker Gallery for the show "This room used to be a studio" in April 2009. The wallpaper now contains traces of the Hofmann Gallery including the cut away spaces where the door and exit sign were as well as the debossed text that reads: "Hans Hofmann Gallery."

A site specific installation designed for the Walker Gallery. Gordon installed a handmade curtain, used a chair from her apartment and installed handpainted wallpaper cut into the shape that the light created in the space. On the chair, speakers played an audio piece:

Gordon incorporated this inconveniently placed light switch panel into the installation. Perhaps the first Walker Gallery show in which the light switch box did not feel out of place.
