Wildwood is a period home whose contents are an amalgamation of the city’s residents’ antiques. It is proclaimed to be an “example of what a banker’s house in the nineteenth century in Nebraska City might have been like...” Gordon’s wallpaper was molded around the name of the gallery, which protruded from the wall, and was cut to fit around a pipe, an exit sign, a door and a vent. The wallpaper now embodies two separate spaces in its most recent installation.

The Hans Hofmann Gallery at the PAAM in Provincetown, MA.

Detail of "Wallpaper from the Dining Room at Wildwood Manor in Nebraska City, NE (for the Hans Hofmann Gallery at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum)"

2009/ oil paint and house paint on paper

Detail of "Wallpaper from the Dining Room at Wildwood Manor in Nebraska City, NE (for the Hans Hofmann Gallery at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum)"

2009/ oil paint and house paint on paper

Text reads: HANS HOFMANN GALLERY

Second installation at the Walker Gallery for the show "This room used to be a studio" in April 2009.
