Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 01:55AM Another winter in Provincetown comes to a close. Gordon participated in various group shows at the Hudson D. Walker Gallery and in the Fellowship show at the Provincetown Arts Association and Museum. In April, Gordon had her second solo show at the Walker Gallery titled, "This room used to be a studio." Most of the work was based on local history and observations from the last two years in town. In June, Gordon participated in a show at the ArtStrand in Provincetown. In July, two works were in "Midsummer Saltations" at The Art Store in Charleston, WV.
Gordon will be returning to Provincetown in the fall. Upcoming in November, a trip to New Hampshire for two months in residence at the MacDowell Colony. She anticipates research concerning the history of the Colony, combined with materials gathered from a recent research trip to Berlin. Work will begin again soon.

Installation shots from PAAM are up.
The Hans Hofmann Gallery is beautiful and the show looked very cohesive. The Association is housed in a fairly new "green" building- natural light and responsive indoor lighting, special vents, custom paint, etc.
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 02:05PM New photos from the solo show are up (see announcement in previous post). Included are photos from the opening night, mostly taken by Matt Bollinger, who was also responsible for the lighting design and the wall text.
Many thanks to Matt, Maryalice, Fleming, Fiona, Craig, Welley and her friend Emma, and of course Cynch and "the Law."
